About Tweety Enterprises

Hi! my name is Lee-ann,

One day my son, Luke and his girlfriend, Sarah came home with a baby quaker parrot  named Charlie, which they hid in their room for a couple of days as they knew I didn’t want any more responsibilities of having pets, after having dogs and cats all my life.  I soon became attached to Charlie though,  he is so affectionate (well most of the time) and just loves to sit on our shoulders.  I very quickly became tired of all the bird pooh on our clothing and stopped putting Charlie on my shoulder as much.  I couldn’t believe how messy birds were.

I said to Luke, it’s a wonder someone hasn’t come up with a birdbib, he said what do you mean, what’s a birdbib?  I answered, I don’t think there is any such thing I just made it up, but I don’t see why there isn’t something available to put on our shoulders to protect our clothing,  just like a babies bib.  He laughed as he thought I meant a bib to put on a bird.  I had a look in the pet shops and on the internet and couldn’t find anything like what I was thinking of.  I decided to make something up myself to put on our shoulders.  He said why don’t you make up some more and sell them.  I thought I couldn’t do that, I have never done anything like that before, although I have been a sewer for many years.

Our friends who like to put Charlie on their shoulders also said the bibs were a great idea but didn’t want to put one on themselves.  It only took a couple more visits before they tried one as they were on their way out and didn’t want to get their clothes dirty.  Now they go straight to get one every time they visit. They also suggested I sell them.

So I thought I would give it a go and here we are!  They have been very popular and so far I am keeping up with the demand.

Although having a website is all new to me and has caused quite a few headaches!   Luke  has been a great help, he has worked it all out and got it up and running. I couldn’t have done it without his help.

I hope you and your bird enjoy the birdbibs.

Yours Sincerely

Lee-ann Simpson
